JOB EXPECTATIONS

Position: Business Analyst Manager

Report to: Finance Director

1. Importance: Percent of Total Job:  80%

Major Action: (What you do and how you do it?)

Business Analysis

Manage the Business Analysis function that provides management with financial advice and counsel on all pertinent business matters by supplying ongoing, timely, and meaningful financial analysis, both routine and as needed, of its results, capital expenditures and expenses., including:

Budgeting & Forecasting

– Coordinate and evaluate budgets, forecasts and stretch Budgeting & Forecasting growth plans to help ensure consistency with sound business management and corporative objectives.

Profit and Loss (Category / GBA) 

– Perform financial analysis to ensure optimum business performance, e.g. advertising and promotion programs/cost of manufacture.

– Generate actionable insights from analysis related to Revenue Management, Geographical/Category Revenue/Profitability, Benchmarking..

Capital Expenditure & Supply finance

– Perform/review financial evaluations of proposed capital expenditures to ensure timely and profitable business decisions, and audit completed projects to determine profitability and achievement of original objectives.

– Budgets, forecasts and stretch growth plans to help ensure consistency with sound business management and corporate objectives.

Ways to Measure Accomplishment (How you can tell you have done it?  Consider how you will measure and differentiate employee performance during the annual review?)

– Number and quality of recommendations in terms of: Accuracy, Timing, Values of Savings, Customer Satisfaction, Justification, Presentation, Level of Judgement and Process Improvement.

– Delivery of business unit targets (Net Sales & Operating Profit

World Class Finance

Identify and make recommendations that optimise business processes and improve financial and other internal controls.

Expected End Result

– Optimise the cost and time to report.

– Improved business processes.

– Ensure compliance to policy, procedures and regulatory requirements.

– Number of effective business process improvements.

– Non-conformance to policy, procedures and regulatory requirements.

– Leads positive change and promotes a culture of continuous improvement.

– Exhibits customer focused behaviour.

 3. Importance:   Continuously       Percent of Total Job:  10%

Major Action: (What you do and how you do it?)

Talent Management

Develop employees to their full potential through Performance Management coaching, appropriate training and education, goal setting and career development.

Expected End Result (Why you do it?)

– 100% completion of a Global Performance Plan (GPP) for each subordinate.

– 100% completion of a Career Development Resume (CDR) for all subordinates.

– High Level of motivation and retention of skilled and talented employees.

Ways to Measure Accomplishment (How you can tell you have done it?  Consider how you will measure and differentiate employee performance during the annual review?)

– Completion rate and effective GPP and CDR.

– Resignation rate and reason.

– Growth and development of team members instigated and supported.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

Accounting and Finance Graduate, plus 7-9 years experience in a Business./Financial analysis position in a MNC environment.

Strong analytical skills

Strong influencing skills

Strong business acumen

Good both English & Vietnamese

Desirable MBA plus 7-9  years experience in a Business./Financial analysis position in a MNC environment.
  Exposure to Corporate financial consolidation practices.
