California Fitness & Yoga is recruiting talented personnel for the Accounting Supervisor position
FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:
- Responsible for financial details of the company, including maintaining financial reports (VAS/GAAP, Cash Ebita, Direct Cash Flow, Club performance, inventory report – if any), financial records.
- Responsible for manage costs of the company via processing payment, validate payment request and supporting documents.
- Responsible for manage tax provision and tax compliance process, complete tax filings
- Recommend and maintain a system of policies and procedures that impose an adequate level of control over Finance Department activities.
- Taking responsibility for, and supervising the work of, more junior members of staff. Provide leadership, coaching.
REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
80% Finance and accounting management
- Be in-charge of managing all accounts on Chart of Accounts;
- Manage reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts properly;
- Preparing monthly journal entries for specific projects/clubs in compliance with the guidelines stated in Accounting Manual;
- Check & process bank transfers upon presentation of proper documents, make sure payments are processed within the required timeline;
- Play a key role on the monthly closing: accrual, deferral, depreciation/amortization, FX revaluation, check balance of accounts to ensure accuracy of closing balances;
- Tax compliance: regularly update tax regulation & support CA for implementation, and provide other departments with advice on tax compliance for daily operation if required;
- Prepare monthly VAT report, quarterly CIT report, FCT tax documentation if required, yearly tax finalization
- Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends in which monthly reporting (Direct CF, Cash Ebitda, monthly GAAP club performance) and quarterly/ yearly GAAP reporting packages;
- Developing inventory analysis reports, analyzing variances and verify standard costing
- Liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out
Key Performance Indicator (KPI):
- Ensure accuracy and timely submission of all reports, over/under recorded expenses/ revenue <1% of total expenses, total revenue or USD8,000/month; cost/revenue is late recorded <1 month
- Cost management: ensure that payment process is complied with company’s policy with properly approval, supporting document which is meet criteria of tax /invoice regulation. Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities. There are <3mistake/month
- Clean the audit opinion for in-charged companies and get the final audited report latest by 28 Mar of following year
- Supervising, manage all tax obligations to ensure that not missed deadline, no late payment/ late submission, not under/over tax payment. Tax fine and nondeductible VAT input < USD1000
20% Responsible for internal control, cost control and Team development
- Coordinate the implementation and supervise the use of accounting software called Aphelion and Effect Software within the Finance Department;
- Control and Monitor the Company’s Inventory records and its costing against actual physical count either on a monthly or periodical basis;
- Develop and implement effective finance, accounting, billing, filling and accounting procedures
- Improve and strengthen internal procedures and policies to keep up with the development of the business;
- Develop and implement effective finance, accounting, billing, filling and accounting procedures
- Coordinate accounting staff and assess their performance
- Carry out the team management as necessary in the technical knowledge, soft skills
Key Performance Indicator (KPI):
- Amend and issue necessary policy and procedure: at least 2 P&P a year.
- Keep turnover of the company in-charge staff at low, not higher than 10% or maximum 2 staffs resign per year.
- Holding sharing/training one a month about technical and soft skill.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- University degree of Financial Accounting with at least 3 years working experience at Chief Accountant position or same level.
- Certificate Public Accountant or other accounting/financing advanced certificates are required
- Experience in general accounting, preferably in a operation of hospitality industrial
- Experience in dealing with external audit and tax authorities
- Have strong knowledge on tax regulation
- Good communication skills in both English and Vietnamese.
- Good management and motivation skills.
- Exceptional work ethic, with strong values and principles.
